Granard Primary School

I thought Clare was excellent. It’s rare to get someone who is so good at talking to 3 and 4 year olds. She totally got them and it was delightful to watch them interact with her. I loved the way she let them contribute and she listened to them without loosing pace and she kept them all listening. They loved her and had a great time.

I’d just like to let you know that the author today was very nice and was great with the children. She made her visit fun and relatable to our children. She was very calm and answered all of year 2’s questions well.

Clare was amazing, the children were absolutely in awe of her! From the moment they stepped into the hall, she connected with them and made them feel comfortable, happy and involved.  Clare shared the story ‘Peggy’ which was perfect for our Reception cohort as the children could easily relate to it.

Meeting the basket of characters from The Little Paws Hotel was a great hook into Clare’s storytelling which the children were completely engrossed in from start to finish. At point the hall was so quiet, you could have heard a pin drop. The children enjoyed listening to the storey of Peggy and which brought some complex scenarios and feelings to the fore. The children were eager and comfortable to share their experiences, thoughts and ideas with Clare who valued each child’s contributions. It was wonderful experience for children and teachers alike.
